JD’s Sound and Lighting commenced trading in 1997. Initially, the core business was primarily involved with hire of professional sound and lighting equipment to DJs and bands as well as installation in nightclubs, pubs, schools and various other venues. The main goals of the business were to provide and maintain high quality equipment and technical support, establish long-term relationships with clients and to provide continual reinvestment in inventory.

In 1999 JD’s Sound and Lighting expanded into larger productions including outdoor and corporate events. As the client base and the demand for products increased, the nature of the business soon progressed into sales. Experience and product knowledge has been the key to this success. Over the years, JD’s Sound and Lighting product list has grown to include many reputable brands.
